Gutrich Chiropractic Offers Comprehensive Chiropractic Care:

“Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health.”
- American Chiropractic Association

Chiropractors work with the spine because it houses and protects the central nervous system. This system regulates, controls, and monitors every body process and function allowing the body to adapt to its environment or not. Specific spinal adjustments are the hallmark of chiropractic. An adjustment is a gentle force delivered to the spine to release a vertebral segment from its abnormal motion or position thereby correcting the vertebral subluxation.

Phases of Spinal Care:

1) Intensive-Care Phase:
In this phase, you are acute due to pain or injury and you need pain relief. Our goal is to relieve your pain as quickly as possible using gentle modalities such as electric muscle stimulation, ultrasound, and/or massage. Specific non load functional exercise may also be introduced at this time.

2) Reconstructive Phase:
At this point, our goal is to strengthen your spine as well as your core muscles. We also will work on correcting any neuromuscular imbalance. We need to monitor your body while it strengthens, so it is critical that you continue to visit us, even if you are feeling better.

3) Maintenance Phase:
Now, your body is improving: your spine is aligned and your core muscles are strengthened. To continue your progress, we recommend a specific treatment protocol for you to prevent future injuries. After that we suggest maintenance which may be once a month to once a year depending on your needs and goals.
